A postpartum mom's RTW, or return to work, can be frought with anxiety weeks before it even happens!

Sometimes, brand new moms who are still in the hospital following their delivery, get waaaaay ahead of themselves, and ask for guidance on building a stash and preparing for a return to work. Even if you have to go back earlier than the typical 12 week maternity leave, you want to give yourself some time before you start planning your reemergence into the workforce. It's too overwhelming to think about leaving your baby when you've only just met him! Recovering from delivery, bonding with your baby, and establishing breastfeeding are the tasks at hand. If you find yourself feeling anxious about your RTW, plan to attend a support group during your maternity leave. You will learn about pumping, how to begin buidling that stash, and how to introduce a bottle. These things do not need to happen before about 3 weeks. So relax, and focus on getting to know your baby!
